Kayla Camp - Senior Analyst
Kayla Camp joined SVN Affordable as an Analyst, bringing with her seven years of experience in the field of affordable housing. Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Kayla worked as a Development Analyst for the City of Cincinnati’s Department of Trade and Development. At the City of Cincinnati, she was responsible for creating and implementing systems to ensure that the City’s affordable housing and economic development projects were in compliance with local, state, and federal community development regulations. In this role, Kayla also oversaw the City’s Community Reinvestment Area Tax Abatement Residential Tax Abatement Program. Before working at the City of Cincinnati, Kayla spent five years with Santa Maria Community Services, a nonprofit agency in Cincinnati, where she served as the Director of the Affordable Housing Program.
Kayla’s interest in affordable housing dates back to her undergraduate degree at New York University, where she studied the Architecture of Affordable Housing. While obtaining her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Northern Kentucky University, Kayla continued to expand her knowledge of this sector through research on the topics of Public-Private Partnerships in Affordable Housing and Performance Measurement in Public Housing. Kayla recently obtained her certification as a Housing Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council, where she honed her skills in underwriting and building financial models. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys running, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her husband.
